Apply now to The Alpine Fellowship 2014 Artists in Residence

From August 24th – 27th the Alpine Fellowship will take over Aldourie Castle on the banks of Loch Ness, Scotland. This year it will be a closed gathering to discuss ‘Representation in the 21st Century’.
Speakers include:
Professor Roger Scruton (Oxford University, St Andrews)
Professor Taylor Carman (Columbia University)
Professor Wolfgang Ulrich (Academy for design, Karlsruhe)
Professor Graham Locke (Oxford University)
Peter Trippi (ed Fine Art Connoisseur)
There will also be a number of postgraduate papers delivered, an award winning poet in residence Deryn Rees Jones, and evening recitals by virtuoso cellist Moray Walsh.
There are a small number of places available for artists in residence.
Applicants should send 5jpg images, a brief bio, and a 500 word essay outlining their artistic interests. Thoughts and opinions on ‘representation’  from a painterly perspective are particularly welcome.
